Slow Down. Feel Everything.
afterglow Movie Club: Felt, our new original about sensate focus.
What if great sex started with slowing down?
Sensate focus is the practice sexologists recommend most when desire has gone quiet: slow, curious touch with no goal. Felt is the first film that teaches it and turns you on at the same time. Watch it at home, then come talk about it with us.
The film
Felt, an afterglow original written, directed and produced by Aleks and Izzy. Jane June and Emmanuel, a real-life couple, star in it with no script and no rushing. It goes live on afterglow on October 30. Their eduporn conversation about sensate focus is live now: how their touch preferences differ, why orgasm isn’t the point, and what the practice brought out in them.
Watch the film ahead of time (because Zoom is prude). Then, together, we review select clips and talk it through with a panel of sexperts. Panelists announced the week of October 26.
What we’ll get into
- โจ Why slowing down makes sex better, not slower
- โจ Touch with no goal: what sensate focus actually is
- โจ Different touch preferences in one bed, and how to talk about them
- โจ Why orgasm isn’t the point
- โจ What a real couple on camera can teach us about desire
Come talk about sex.
Come learn something.
Come get better at slowing down.
Next up: Wave
Our next original is already in the works. Where Felt slows everything down, Wave lets go of the script entirely: sex that doesn’t move in a straight line. It arrives at the end of December, and Movie Club talks about it in January. RSVP above and you’re on the list for both.
afterglow Movie Club is a space for curious, respectful conversations about intimacy, relationships, and erotic storytelling. Participation is encouraged, but never required, and you’re totally allowed to join us camera-off. Come ready to watch, reflect, and share your perspective as we learn from one another. The event is open to both afterglow members and non-members.
